We all woke up to Blake having gone on an extended bike ride. I’ve already mentioned it, but this Tennesse heat was already a blazing 79 degrees at 8am. I am really feeling the humidity. Our campsite had a miniature golf course that we took advantage of until the pool opened for the day. Pool opens at 10am. Kids are up and have been dying for some miniature golf! Perfect timing, as we finished our round of golf, the pool opened, and Blake had returned. We already had quite the eventful morning. But why not add to it with a trip to uptown Nashville to a breakfast eatery that has arcade, and billiard activities for the kids to enjoy.
As we were driving back to our campsite, we figured we would go check out the famous Grand Ole Opry across the street from where we were staying. We ended up a few hours checking it all out, listening to music, walking the resort and viewing all that it hyped up. This was much more family friendly of an area. There was a concert going on that evening at the Opry, so we were able to see the outside venue getting set up with the outdoor concerts. To say we’ve seen it and done, we can check it off! Blake had no idea what the Opry was or why it was a big deal. Thankfully by the end of that trip, he understood what the meaning for the place was for those in the music industry! The kids were more impressed with the indoor water park and arcade center than anything else there. Of course.
Since we started the day off with the pool, why not end the day at the pool! 8 o’clock at night and the tempature was still in the mid 80s. So why not!?!
